A beautiful reproduction of a 200+ year old antique that Holly Freeman purchased; though aged and incredibly frail, she fell in love with the verse (and the birds). It is a reminder to never cease to seek opportunities to learn and grow!

When I was young I little thought, That learning was so dearly bought, But now I by experience find, Tis not gained by an idle mind.

Unfortunately, there is not much information about Alice Robinson. We do know that she lived in Kansas and experienced poverty. Eventually, she became a teacher.
