Summertime Sunshine Sampler
Summertime Sunshine Sampler
It’s no secret that Holly Freeman's favorite flowers are sunflowers. Inside the kitchen of her childhood home, fake sunflowers were displayed above the kitchen cabinets. Her mother, an avid gardener, had also planted a row of them along the side of their house. She remembers staring at them with child-like innocence and being mystified that their “faces” would always follow the sun. The verse on this sampler is a Haiku that Holly wrote in 2019. Sunflowers are known for being associated with adoration, joy, and happiness. She hopes those are feelings that you, the needleworker, experience while stitching this sampler.
